PERSONAL ACCIDENT / TRAVEL INSURANCE POLICY

MAJOR EXCLUSIONS WHICH TRAVELLERS SHOULD BE AWARE OF:

· The Insured Person who is over 80 years of age at the time of loss, damage or injury or at the time that sickness first manifests itself.

· The Insured Person whose pregnancy is in excess of thirty (30) weeks.

· Where the Insured Person's journey is undertaken against the advice of a medical practitioner or other practitioner.

· Any condition which was known would require treatment during the period of Insured Travel

· Death of a relative with a known short life span as a consequence of sickness

· The Insured Person engaging in or taking part in or training for any professional sport

· A deliberate self-inflicted injury

· Are recoverable from any other source

· Loss, theft or misplacement of credit cards, travellers' cheques or travel documents unless reported to the issuing authority as soon as possible after discovery

· Loss or damage of any goods over A$1,000 that are intended for use in connection with any trade, business or occupation (except Laptop Computers which are limited to A$8,000)

· Computers or any electronic equipment that do not accompany the Insured Person as personal cabin baggage whilst carried in or on any aircraft etc.

· Any change of plans or disinclination of the Insured Person or any other person to travel

· Cancellation, curtailment or diversion of scheduled public transport services, including strikes, if there had been prior warning before the date of commencement of the particular Insured Travel that such events were likely to occur during the period of insurance

· Kidnap occurring in Mexico or any other country located in Central or South America

· Personal liability - liability claims arising from the ownership, possession or use of mechanically propelled vehicles, aircraft, aerial devices or watercraft powered by motor, excluding golf buggies and wheelchairs.

· War, invasion, civil war, confiscation or nationalisation etc

· The Insured Person engaging in air travel except as a passenger in any properly licensed aircraft.

· Terrorism; being any act of any group of people, involving the use of or threat of force or violence where the purpose of the act by its nature or context is to further a politicalreligious or ideological aim and/or to intimidate or influence a government (whether lawfully constituted or otherwise), the public or any sector of the public.
