Travelling Overseas? Check for travellers Health and Safety at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade before travelling.

Guidelines for Overseas Travel

  • All international travel must be authorised by your Dean, PVC or Administrative Head who will require you to provide the latest DFAT advice on travel to the intended destination,
  • All Deans, PVCs and Administrative Heads must consider carefully whether the intended international travel by colleagues is essential,
  • Consideration should be given to deferring all non-essential travel, and
  • No staff member is under an obligation to undertake any international travel.
  • Countries/regions for which Insurer's approval is required prior to providing cover. Click here.
  • If you intend to be overseas for twelve months or more, you will need to notify UniSuper, by completing a "Change of Circumstance" Form to ensure your superannuation insurance cover is maintained. Here is the link: http://www.unisuper.com.au/forms/unisf00018.pdf

NB For insurance purposes, 'Travel Warning' is the same as 'Travel advice' and 'Travel' means both essential and non-essential travel.
